where is morzine

Morzine is in the heart of the Portes du Soleil region of the French Alps. It's just over an hours drive away from Geneva airport in Switzerland. This makes it one of the easiest areas to get to from the UK for a snowy winter holiday.

morzine town

Morzine is a bustling mountain town. Unlike many ski resorts it has a large population who are resident all year round. The town is becoming increasingly popular with British and Dutch tourists but there is still a very French feel as you wander through the streets. The local people are very friendly and offer many a welcoming 'bonjour' as you explore their home.

There are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants in the town centre along with shops selling everything from the local produce of cheeses & cured meats to beautifully crafted wooden toys and traditional pottery.

not just skiing

Far from it, the are loads of things to do in Mozine apart from skiing. The list is way to long to fit in this box!

why choose morzine for snowshoeing?

Morzine is a great area for snowshoeing. It's high enough to be guaranteed good snow cover during the winter months but it's also low enough that most of the trails are below the tree line. That's much more interesting than walking over bleak mountain tops. There is a variety of terrain whether you're looking for a testing hike or a gentle stoll Morzine has it all.
